What youNEEDto know!

Here you'll find all you need to know about your bridal preview and your big "I Do" day. Keep scrolling for T&Cs and FAQs.

This is the fun part! Deciding on a bridal look can feel overwhelming at times, so whether you sit in my chair knowing exactly what you want, prepared with Pinterest boards, inspiration pictures OR simply not having a clue on where to start, this is our opportunity to explore different bridal looks and create the most beautiful bridal version of you. It is my job to understand your vision and bring your vision to life, which takes times and requires good communication.

At the start of your preview we will discuss EVERYTHING from your style of wedding, to hair, wedding day attire and your colour scheme. From here on, I will have a good idea of your bridal style and share my ideas on the makeup that will compliment you and the overarching style. Then the fun begins! First I will asses your skin, talk through your current skincare routine, advise you on skincare 'must do's' and recommend facials and treatments to help you to achieve the optimal canvas ready for your big day. Once the initial chat is complete, we will get stuck in! During your time with me, we will not only discuss the makeup but we will discuss your wedding party number, logistics and timings, assistant artist(s) if required, and any additional services you require on the wedding morning.

As a bridal specialist I am here to listen to you, advise you and guide you throughout the whole process to ensure we create your dream look. It is not a dictatorship and we will work together to get it right. I want you to feel confident and happy with the choices you make. I am a realist, and if at any point you feel unsure on your choices or you would like to make some changes, we can absolutely do that. Nothing is set in stone and changes can always be made. This is an exciting part of the wedding process, and it is my job to ensure you have the best experience. Please note I allow 2-3 hours per bridal preview, however there is no cap on this unless I make you aware prior to your appointment. It takes as little or as long as it takes. Just be mindful to plan for more time than not enough!

After a successful bridal preview, I will formulate the proposed timings for the morning which will be sent to you via email 2 weeks prior to your wedding day. This will allow us plenty of time for any amendments that may need to be made. The timings will include my arrival and set up time, makeup timings, assistant timings and the finishing time with wriggle room for touch ups/photos.

I will arrive in plenty of time to set up and ensure we stick to the timings as planned. I play a huge part in maintaining a smooth running of the morning, and it is my job to ensure you and your wedding party feel as relaxed and as calm as possible. Once you are dressed, I always do a last minute touch up of powder, lips and blush before you leave for your special day. Rest assured, I only ever book one wedding per day therefore, you are my priority and timings can be flexible if need be.

Travel fees including tube and rail are added to the final invoice. Please note that these charges apply to all bridal previews and bookings, and are in addition to any promotional discounts.

For larger bookings (bride +5) where an assistant(s) makeup artist is required, an assistant fee of £60 per assistant plus travel, calculated from their post code to the location and return, will be added to the final invoice. Please note this will be discussed with you during your preview.

Please note that all deposit fees are non-refundable upon cancellation of the booking by the customer. *For all wedding and civil partnership bookings, final payments are to be made in full 3 working days prior to work commencing on the day. Failure of payment by the customer may result in cancellation of the booking. FAQs

How do I secure my wedding date with you?

After our initial communications, I require a non-refundable deposit to secure your wedding date in my diary. This balance is then deducted from the final invoice due 3 working days prior to the event. Please note the deposit is calculated upon the booking total.

How much time do you allocate for each person on the wedding day?

Prior to the wedding day I will formulate a times sheet. I allocate 1 hour 15 minutes for the bride and 35-45 minutes per bridesmaid/additional person. I always allow for extra time to sanitise and clean between each person.

When shall I book my trial?

I recommend booking your trial 2-3 months prior to your wedding date. This is only a guidance and ultimately it is your choice. Just be mindful to get it book in sooner rather than later as dates get filled quickly.

Where do you hold your previews? Can you travel to me?

I hold all of my bridal previews in my makeup studio located in Brighton. However, I am fully mobile and can travel to you on request.

How long do I need for a preview?

Every client and bridal preview is different. I recommend allowing yourself 2-3 hours as it is a step by step process and it takes time (plus there's no fun in rushing). My advice is to allow for more time than not enough!

I have a big bridal party. How many people can you get ready?

This depends on how much time we have for the morning, and on how early we can realistically start. If you are a large wedding booking (bride +5 or more) then I may require a second artist on the job. This will be discussed with you during your trial.

Can I bring someone along to my preview?

Absolutely! My makeup studio is spacious and comfortable for two additional people.

Shall I come to my preview with makeup on or off?

If possible, rock up with beautiful bare skin wearing only your skincare products. Sometimes the skin around our eyes can feel sensitive or irritated after makeup removal, so bear this in mind if we need to remove makeup beforehand.

Do you provide false eyelashes? I'm questioning eyelash extensions...

I have a variety of both individual or strip lashes in faux or mink. If you are unsure, then why not book your trial and try my lashes first.

Does it matter if I am more tanned on my wedding day?

Absolutely not! I always have my full kit with me so I will colour match you on the day with the same foundation used in your preview.

Do I need to buy lipstick to reapply on the wedding day?

I will provide you (the bride) with a small pot of lipstick and disposable wands to reapply throughout the day. Of course if you would like to buy your wedding lippy, then happy shopping!

What payment methods do you take?

I accept bank transfer only.

I'm still quite anxious about COVID, what precautions do you take?

The health and safety of myself and my clients is paramount. I maintain an extremely high standard of hygiene practices and ensure that these are followed by assistant artists and clients in my chair. All makeup stations are sanitised accordingly and any tools and brushes are sanitised with isopropyl alcohol between clients. At the end of the working day, my brushes get shampoo washed and my makeup gets sanitised. Please rest assured that you are in safe hands. My presentation and kit speaks for itself!

Do you only offer bridal makeup?

I offer occasion, event, photoshoot and stage makeup.
